Rice University in Houston, TX is conducting its fourth annual Veterans Business Battle on April 13-14 2018.  In order to compete, each applicant must do the following:

  • Complete the application that describes your business idea, including an optional video pitch.vetbizbattle-logo-300.png
  • Submit the application through the Veterans Business Battle website along with a scanned copy of the business owners DD Form 214 document from the U.S. Military indicating they were honorably discharged.
  • Be a resident of the United States.
  • Consent to a background check if selected as a finalist for the purpose of prequalifying their business for funding.

There is no application fee or any other cost associated with applying. Selected finalists are responsible for their own transportation to Houston. We encourage anyone to go ahead and start their application-- there is a team of veterans who are MBA students who will contact them and help them strengthen their applications. The current deadline for applications is February 1st but at VetToCEO we're working to get our comrades at VetToCEO an extension (no promises as of right now though).

This is a great opportunity for veteran entrepreneurs especially our VetToCEO Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors program graduates.  Check it out and decide for yourself if the timing and opportunity is right for you and your business!

Our next Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors program starts on January 16th so sign up today or pass the opportunity to do so to a buddy!
